EASY, BREEZY, BEAUTIFUL SAUSALITO

Welcome to the slow-laughing, sea-breezy water-front town, Sausalito.   In the spirit of summer escapism, we take you on a journey to the southeastern tip of Marin, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, to a tiny town with glorious views that remind us of an Adriatic resort. Sausalito’s old world charm and colorful mix of boat houses, shops and unique restaurants is drenched in enough character and splendor to make your imagination tipsy amidst the crystal clear haze. Spend the day musing on life’s highs as you wander along the rocky coastline, hike up Bougainvillea-covered hillsides adorned with gorgeous homes, and chow down on delicious fresh seafood at Scoma’s.  With a Lappert’s ice cream cone in hand, gazing into the the blue water surrounding the ferry moorings and sail boats, the only thought that comes to mind is ‘This must be heaven’.  Heaven indeed!  Oh Sausalito.  No matter how many times we go, for work or for pleasure, the magic doesn’t seem to wear off.

Though the entire day was supposed to be a day off, we could not stop ourselves from creating some photographs to capture the beauty of our experience. Moments like these make us want to slow down and appreciate every landscape we lay our eyes on and every adventure on the horizon. We roamed around this color-filled, joyous town in elegant (and fun!) summer looks.

Francesca on her sophisticated, hyper-textural cloud inspired Look:

I sported the artful swish and swoosh of fringe—and in a sexy and unexpected way.  I was inspired by all the clouds and fog we commonly see around the Bay Area in summer, and thought it would be fun to embody a little white fluffy cloud. I adore this white-fringed Philip Lim long Sleeve top for its movement … it really makes me want to dance!  My recently monogrammed Coach Saddle Bag 23 was a must – adding that bright pop of blue and carrying all of my go-to essentials for the day!

Valentina on being in two places at once:

There are so many California beach towns that make me swoon, but there is something extra special about the molten blue Mediterranean essence of Sausalito that holds a special place in my heart. The views take me straight to Portofino.  My craving for lazy European summer siestas stops, because I actually feel like I am there! Except things get even better – while Sausalito has the sophistication of the Italian Riviera, it also possess the laidback California ambience. My outfit was inspired by the injection of the Mediterranean into the Californian culture, so I threw on my all-American Ralph Lauren sweater and paired it with a sparkle of bling jewelry to give me the lady-like factor with a spirited, California-girl edge (did you notice my silver Van’s skater sneakers???).  Don’t even get me started on how perfectly my Coach bag cross body Saddle Bag 23 pairs with everything I wear, including this multidimensional look. I am so in love with the vibrant blue color and its ideal size, and I can’t resist taking it with me on every next adventure!
