What gives you happiness? This is one of those never ending questions that we love to contemplate. We discovered that happiness springs forth from the sweet spot of being uncomfortable enough in our current state that we are challenged to create something better. Playing it safe doesn’t bring fulfillment or joy. We have always been more inspired to push boundaries and create something innovative then remain stagnant and stuck. Stagnation is our enemy! Yet, it is so easy to get stuck in a rut, a routine, a lack of freshness and original voice. Recently we decided to step up our composition game and create more fearless, festive, symphonic visual odysseys using our artwork as icing on the fashion editorial cake. Our deepest fear is creating repetitive content filled with the sludge of unnecessary uniformity. We combat this fear by loving our craft itself and being energized by the excitement of the process.
We have also discovered that through the constraints of a limited budget and not (yet) having access to the all the latest designer collections we are forced to think creatively about combinations and ways in which we can style the same garment. The challenge of constant re-invention and never styling a garment the same way twice gives us that sweet rush of serotonin. The great thing about facing challenges with a creative thought process is always avoiding boredom. One starts to really appreciate all of the downs along the journey that make the ups so delightful!
Valentina dealt with the heat of the summer season through embracing elements of the statuesque Spanish dancer. She paired her lightest and brightest skirt with a white frilly top, creating a look with touches of simplicity, while still making a statement through the loudness of the gorgeous red color. You never have to sacrifice standing out in the crowd, over comfort. Here Valentina carried a sensual vibe, while moving about her day with easy.
